Slovak President Peter Pellegrini will meet the new President of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, Tomio Okamura on Tuesday in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. Okamura, leader of the Czech SPD movement, was elected the President in early November and his trip to Slovakia is his first foreign visit in the role.
During his two-day stay, he will also meet the Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši (HLAS-SD) and Prime Minister Robert Fico (SMER-SD), and join discussions in the Slavkov format. Before the meetings, Okamura will lay wreaths at memorials to Czechoslovakia’s founders, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and Milan Rastislav Štefánik.
