A new ComfortJet train will launch on the Prague–Bratislava–Budapest route with the 2025/2026 timetable. The modern set offers 555 seats, including 99 in first class and 18 in the restaurant car. It can reach 230 km/h, though speeds will be limited to 140 km/h in Slovakia and 160 km/h in Czechia.
Passengers can expect quiet, barrier-free travel, child-friendly spaces, Wi-Fi, wireless chargers, ergonomic first-class seating, and room for bicycles and large luggage. From 14 December this year, ten Metropolitan services on the corridor will upgrade to Railjet standards, with two operated by new ComfortJet units.
