Slovak Radio will be headed by Peter Janků from the beginning of December. TASR was informed of this by Zuzana Vicelová, head of the communications department at Slovak Television and Radio (STVR). STVR Director General Martina Flašíková considers Janků's appointment a clear signal that they want to build public radio as a space for cultivated dialogue, plurality of values, and professional journalism.
"We share a common vision of media that resist the pressures of tabloidization and political influence and remain faithful to the truth, verified facts, and creative quality. Peter Janků brings strong moral anchoring, experience from both television and radio environments, and the ability to lead a team with perspective and independence to the management of the radio station. I believe that under his leadership, Slovak Radio will prove that public service can be done professionally, impartially, and in a cultivated manner," said Flašíková.
