American actor and director Ben Stiller visited the High Tatras, eastern Slovakia, to scout potential film locations. According to Marián Galajda, spokesperson for Tatry Mountain Resorts (TMR), a new film is tentatively planned for 2027.
During his visit, Stiller stayed at one of the hotels in Štrbské Pleso, visited the Sliezsky Dom area, walked around Popradské Pleso, and took a cable car up to Skalnaté Pleso.
"The American production company behind the upcoming film has confirmed that the High Tatras are currently among the potential candidates for filming. According to them, director Stiller's positive impressions from his tour of the Tatras have increased the region's chances," said Galajda.
