A Bratislava Tourist Board survey of 7,237 respondents from 11 key European markets shows that foreign visitors view the Slovak capital favourably. Eighty-five percent rated their stay positively, and over half plan to return within three years. Fifty-seven percent said they could imagine spending more days in the city, praising its accessibility, compact size, history and architecture.
Among those who haven’t yet visited, 77 percent see no barriers to choosing Bratislava in the future, and 59 percent intend to visit soon. Only 2.7 percent ruled out a trip, though many in this group said better communication and information could change their mind.
BTB chair Nina Erneker said the results show strong potential for repeat tourism, noting that Bratislava’s main challenge is low brand awareness rather than a negative image. Increasing visibility and developing richer experiences, she added, will help encourage longer stays.
