The National Bank of Slovakia had continued slashing its estimate of Slovakia’s economic growth forecast for this year. While in March the central bank expected the country’s GDP to grow 0.7%, in the latest prognosis they have reviewed the situation downward; now expecting 0.6% growth this year.
In early 2013 the central bank prognosticated an optimistic 1.3% level of growth for Slovakia’s economy, which has since been halved.
