Police Reject Case on mRNA Vaccines After Kotlár’s Claims Fail to Show Evidence

The police see no reason to initiate criminal proceedings in the case submitted by the government’s envoy for reviewing the management and use of resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, Peter Kotlár, concerning mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.

This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Presidium of the Police Corps, Roman Hájek, who explained that the decision has not yet become final.

“In the criminal proceedings initiated partly on the basis of a criminal complaint related to an expert report, the investigator from the COVID task force issued a resolution on October 16, 2025, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code, stating that if there is no reason to initiate criminal prosecution or to proceed under paragraph two, the prosecutor or police officer shall reject the case by resolution,” Hájek stated.

In March, Kotlár submitted to the Prosecutor General, Maroš Žilinka, an expert report analyzing mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 that were used in Slovakia during the pandemic. According to him, the analysis confirmed that all tested batches of the vaccines were capable of altering human DNA, which, he claimed, could lead to several serious diseases. However, the Slovak Academy of Sciences did not confirm Kotlár’s claims, stating that the alleged risks he mentioned were not proven.
