Slovakia Has Borrowed Nearly €12 Billion This Year

By the end of October, Slovakia had borrowed a total of €11.718 billion this year. The state sold government bonds worth €6.218 billion through regular monthly auctions, €5 billion via syndication, and €500 million in bonds for citizens. This information comes from the latest monthly report of the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL).

In October alone, bonds worth €526 million were sold through an auction, with investor demand reaching €1.421 billion. Even more funds were raised through a syndicated bond sale amounting to €2 billion, for which investor interest reached €3.8 billion.

The next government bond auction will take place on Tuesday, November 18, ARDAL announced. The agency will announce the bond offer for the auction on Monday, November 10.
