Slovakia’s Justice Ministry and the Military Ordinariate have signed a new agreement with the Holy See on providing pastoral care for Catholics in the armed forces and justice system.
The updated accord replaces one from 2017 and expands spiritual services to Justice Ministry staff.
Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) praised the work of the prison chaplaincy, saying it plays an important role in supporting moral and psychological wellbeing among inmates and officers.
