Month of Photography Opens with Exhibition “Eyes That Were the Century”

Bratislava’s Month of Photography festival opens this week, featuring nearly 30 exhibitions across the city. A highlight is “Eyes That Were the Century,” showcasing 90 iconic works from the private collection of Madrid-based curator Lola Garrido.

The exhibition, opening Tuesday at the House of Arts, features 20th-century masters such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Man Ray, Nan Goldin, and Cindy Sherman.

The 35th edition of the festival also includes retrospectives of Slovak photographer Tono Stano and American pioneer Joel Meyerowitz, plus exhibitions exploring artificial intelligence and Australian photography.
