State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec opened the conference “Circular Economy in Enterprises” at Volkswagen Slovakia in Bratislava, focusing on sustainability and the role of industry in the green transition. The event showcased best practices from Slovak and German companies in implementing circular economy principles. Chovanec stressed the importance of balancing environmental protection with industrial competitiveness, noting that true sustainability combines innovation with responsibility. He also met with Bavarian State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt to discuss cooperation in AI, defense, energy, and industrial transformation. Both officials agreed that Slovakia–Bavaria ties are vital for Europe’s economic resilience.
