Slovakia has reiterated its strong support for Ukraine’s path toward European Union membership. At a meeting in Bratislava with Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis, Foreign Ministry State Secretary Marek Eštok said Slovakia will continue providing political, technical, and expert assistance throughout the accession process.
The officials also reviewed the results of the recent Slovak-Ukrainian government meeting in Košice, which strengthened cooperation in cross-border infrastructure, energy security, and post-war recovery. Eštok added that Slovakia fully supports the U.S.-mediated peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, stressing that any future agreement must respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
