Slovak Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok and Czech opposition leader Andrej Babiš agreed to renew joint meetings of the Slovak and Czech governments. Šutaj Eštok announced the decision after a working lunch with Babiš in Bratislava, following his party’s victory in the Czech elections. He said the talks showed the need to restore close cooperation between Bratislava and Prague — and to revive the Visegrad Group. Both also criticized the EU’s new emissions trading system, calling it a “green tax” that burdens families, and rejected migrant quotas under the EU migration pact. Šutaj Eštok added that health care, particularly cancer prevention, should be a shared priority over military spending.
