Wizz Air to Restore Domestic Flights in Slovakia This November

The first Wizz Air flight between Bratislava and Košice will take off on November 21 at 6:30 a.m., Prime Minister Robert Fico announced on Thursday. He said he had pushed for restoring the route since his previous term in 2016 and praised Transport Minister Jozef Ráž for making it happen. The connection, Fico added, will strengthen Slovakia’s internal mobility and help both airports grow. Minister Ráž noted the route required EU approval as a public service, adding that Wizz Air’s decision to reopen it also brings four new aircraft and 21 additional destinations to Bratislava Airport.
