Slovak President Peter Pellegrini has begun a two-day official visit to North Macedonia. In Skopje, he will meet President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, and the Head of Parliament Afrim Gashi. The talks will focus on North Macedonia’s EU accession process, bilateral and transatlantic relations, and current global security challenges. The visit continues Pellegrini’s tour of Western Balkan countries aimed at supporting their EU integration. As part of the delegation, State Secretary Vladimír Šimoňák will sign an economic cooperation memorandum promoting small business partnerships, tourism, and investment. The president will also lay a wreath at the tomb of national hero Goce Delčev and visit the Marie Curie Skłodowska High School, whose laboratory was also supported by Slovakia through a UN development program.
