Slovak and Hungarian leaders emphasized their commitment to further strengthening cooperation between the two countries. President Pellegrini said that the border between Slovakia and Hungary does not divide but connects them, adding that Slovaks and Hungarians are close partners who share common interests and mutual respect. The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere, with both Presidents agreeing to enhance cross-border projects and regional cooperation.
Later in the day, President Pellegrini will travel to Tallinn to attend a meeting of heads of state from the Arraiolos Group. The summit will focus on artificial intelligence — its practical applications, benefits, and potential risks — as well as European and Middle Eastern security issues. Slovakia aims to support joint European initiatives in digital technologies. This will be Pellegrini’s second participation in the Arraiolos format.
