Slovakia has welcomed the agreement between Israel and Hamas on implementing the first phase of a U.S.-proposed peace plan for the Gaza Strip. Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár described it as an important step toward ending the conflict, easing civilian suffering, and reducing the risk of further attacks. Slovakia supported the 20-point plan from the start and remains committed to international efforts promoting peace and security in the Middle East.
According to reports, Hamas will release all hostages in Gaza, and Israeli forces will withdraw to agreed positions under the first phase of the plan.
