Europe needs a strong France, said Slovak Parliament Speaker Richard Raši during his official visit to Paris, where he met with Yaël Braun-Pivet, the President of the French National Assembly.
Their talks focused on deepening parliamentary cooperation and reaffirming Slovakia’s respect for EU law following the recent constitutional amendment. Raši expressed confidence that national parliaments remain key pillars of democracy, even in politically turbulent times. He also emphasized that Slovakia fully respects European commitments and remains a reliable EU member supporting Ukraine’s accession.
During his visit, Raši laid a wreath at the statue of Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Meudon and met with French lawmakers to discuss youth engagement and closer bilateral ties.
