Slovakia’s Interior Minister Matuš Šutaj Eštok (Hlas-SD) says Europe must change course to remain competitive and respected globally. Writing on social media after the Beijing military parade, he argued that the post-war world order is shifting, with China, India and other powers gaining influence.
Šutaj Eštok warned that instead of adapting, the EU is weakening itself through ideological bans and regulations, which he says lead to higher prices and reduced competitiveness. He stressed that Slovakia remains committed to the EU and NATO but called for a more pragmatic and confident Europe.
