Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) held talks with his Egyptian and North Macedonian counterparts at the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia on Tuesday.
With Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdellaty, discussions focused on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Blanár described the situation as “catastrophic and unsustainable,” noting that Slovakia has sent another package of aid and is working with partners to ensure its delivery directly to Gaza.
The two ministers also agreed to intensify cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism.
In a separate meeting with North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Timčo Mucunski, Blanár discussed opportunities for Slovak exporters and plans to organise a business forum to support companies from both countries.
