Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) emphasised the importance of international law and multilateralism at the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia on Tuesday. Speaking alongside international counterparts, Blanár called adherence to international law the “strongest weapon” for the global community, while criticising what he called the “application of double standards.”
He also urged reforms to international institutions, including the United Nations, to better reflect current geopolitical realities. Blanár noted that Slovakia remains one of five EU member states that has not recognised Kosovo, citing concerns over violations of international law and territorial integrity.
