President Peter Pellegrini is meeting with Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) President Martin Venhart today to discuss the Academy’s analysis of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, which found only trace amounts of DNA well below approved safety limits.
Although completed in June, the government has not addressed the findings, with Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) confirming they will not appear on this week’s cabinet agenda. The Academy will present full details of its findings on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has confirmed that updated vaccines against the new COVID variant will arrive in Slovakia from mid-September, with enough supply for all who wish to be vaccinated.
