A 20-year-old pregnant woman was killed in an armed attack on Bezrucova Street on Saturday afternoon, succumbing to multiple gunshot wounds to her chest. Her 38-year-old partner was injured in the incident as well. He was transported to a hospital by air rescuers with multiple open wounds. On Sunday, police tracked down and detained the man who reportedly caused the tragedy in the town of Partizanske, western Slovakia, shortly after the incident on Saturday, 30 August. According to head of the Trencin Police Directorate's Ingrid Krajcikova, the police will provide more information as soon as the procedural situation allows it.
