Police to Penalize Drivers for Watching Movies While Driving

The police are warning drivers about the ban on watching movies while driving. Drivers violating the ban can face fines.

Roman Hájek, a spokesperson for the Presidium of the Police Force, reminds everyone that while driving, it is necessary to fully devote oneself to driving the vehicle and monitor the situation on the road.

"Watching movies, videos, or other multimedia content on the front display while driving is prohibited. Such activity distracts the driver, can lead to an accident, and endanger the lives and health of road users," the spokesperson said.

According to him, the fine for watching movies while driving can reach up to 100 euros. "Police officers can also impose a fine of up to 50 euros on the spot," he added.

Fines also apply to drivers playing movies on the front display for a passenger, Hájek added.
