Health Minister Kamil Šaško (Hlas–SD) emphasized that it is a priority for the coalition party to ensure that vulnerable groups, including patients, are not negatively affected by recent consolidation measures in healthcare. Acknowledging that healthcare often attracts profit-driven individuals, Šaško announced several audits and inspections of public procurement processes related to the Health Ministry’s projects funded by the Recovery Plan.
The audits will focus on all recipients of European funds, both public institutions and private companies, and will include a review of all purchases exceeding €5,000 since 2022. Šaško assured that the findings will be made public to ensure transparency.
