Slovan Bratislava lost their first Europa League playoff match at home, going down 1–0 to Young Boys Bern. Chris Bedia scored the only goal of the game in the 15th minute, in heavy rain. The return leg will take place in Switzerland at the Wankdorf Stadium on Thursday, the 28th August, at 20:00.
