President Ivan Gašparovič vetoed a law that would introduce fines for Slovaks who fail to report their location abroad if they leave Slovakia for more than 90 days.
The act has become the target of criticism from the Opposition as well as the public for infringing citizens’ rights to free movement. Now the Parliament will have to re-discuss the law.
