The ongoing decline in the construction sector in Slovakia slowed down in April. Construction output fell by 4.6 percent to €342.1 million, according to the Slovak Statistics Office. Development of domestic production was affected by a drop in construction works on new construction, modernization, and reconstruction by 12.5 percent.
Production realized abroad by Slovak construction companies in April increased by 40.3 percent to €31.5 million. Its share of the total volume of construction output accounted for 9.2 percent.
