Youth organisations, primarily from opposition political parties, have formed a joint platform aimed at restoring young people's trust in society, politics, and the public sphere, chair of Young Freedom and Solidarity and coordinator of the platform Nikolas Prejsa reported on Thursday.
The initiative, named FutureTalks, is open to any other youth organisation wishing to join. It also plans to organise a series of public discussions in Slovak cities.
Founding members of the platform include Young Freedom and Solidarity, Young Progressive Slovakia, Christian Democratic Youth of Slovakia (KDMS), Civic Democratic Youth, Young Democrats – Generation D, and Young Slovakia.
The platform also draws attention to the outflow of young people abroad and their passive approach to public issues.
