SAV Completes Analysis of mRNA Vaccines, Ready to Present Its Results

Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) spokesperson Monika Tináková has confirmed that they have completed their analysis of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19, adding that the academy is ready to inform the public about the results as soon as the Health Ministry, as the ordering party, sets a date.

Tináková said that the Slovak Academy of Sciences carried out the Health Ministry's task to prepare the analysis by July 31, 2025. They are ready to inform the public about its results as soon as the ordering party sets the date.

Health Minister Kamil Šaško (Hlas-SD) asked SAV to test samples of mRNA vaccines against coronavirus in April after being tasked by the government to do so. SAV experts were supposed to prepare a comprehensive report on a quantitative analysis for the presence of DNA and other substances in selected retention batches of vaccines used against COVID-19 in Slovakia. At the same time, they were supposed to draw up an expert opinion on the impact of substances present in the human body. The analysis is supposed to have cost some €350,000.
