A major new tram line has officially opened in Bratislava’s Petržalka borough, completing the second stage of the city's biggest transport project. The tram now runs to the southern end of Petržalka, marking the end of more than three and a half years of construction on the Jungmannova–Janíkov dvor section.
At Sunday’s launch, Bratislava Mayor Matúš Vallo stated that the tram line delivers a long-awaited backbone transport system to Petržalka after 50 years.
