Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) visited Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. At the Memorial Center in Potočari, he paid tribute to the victims alongside his Bosnian counterpart, Elmedin Konaković.
According to Blanár, Slovakia shares a personal connection to the tragedy through the stories of refugees who fled the Bosnian war and built new lives in Slovakia. He also reaffirmed Slovakia’s support for Bosnia’s reconciliation efforts and its path toward EU membership.
