Slovakia’s Interior Ministry has drafted a new agreement with Czechia to strengthen police cooperation against organised crime. The proposal is under interdepartmental review and will require approval from both the Slovak government and Parliament.
The ministry warns that cross-border criminal networks are becoming more sophisticated and are exploiting the EU’s open borders. It argues that closer cooperation between states is essential to effectively counter organised crime and protect public safety.
