Slovakia and Hungary reaffirmed their strong bilateral relations during Thursday’s official visit by Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok to Bratislava.
President Peter Pellegrini described current ties as the “best ever,” citing close cooperation in politics, economy, and culture. The Presidents stressed the importance of open dialogue on sensitive issues, discussing regional security, cross-border infrastructure, and a forthcoming agreement on healthcare access for citizens in border regions.
Hungarian President Sulyok also met with Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and Parliamentary Chair Richard Raši (HLAS). Both Slovak representatives praised the strong partnership and emphasised practical cooperation in areas like trade, energy, and regional development.
