Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár awarded Spanish Ambassador Lorea Arribalzaga Ceballos the Golden Memorial Medal for her contribution to Slovak-Spanish relations. The award marks the end of her diplomatic mission, which began in 2021.
Blanár praised the excellent bilateral cooperation, emphasizing shared positions on international issues and growing economic ties—Spain is Slovakia’s 14th most important trading partner with annual trade nearing €4.3 billion. Slovakia recently opened its first honorary consulate in the Basque region, in Bilbao.
