Ukrainian-founded company DKR Group receives €1.27 million state aid for production plant in Slovakia
The company DKR Group, founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs, will receive a state investment incentive of €1.27 million to establish a production facility for flame-retardant compounds used in the manufacturing of cables and wires. The firm plans to invest more than €2.54 million in Petrovany (Prešov District) and employ 28 people by the end of 2027, according to the investment aid proposal approved by the government on Wednesday.

DKR Group was established on April 15, 2023, and its business activities include the production of plastics and plastic products, as well as other commercial operations. The company’s five partners are individuals with permanent residence in Ukraine, most of whom previously founded and managed the Ukrainian manufacturing company Prominvest Plastic in Kharkiv. That plant was destroyed by war, halting the production of halogen-free and flame-retardant cable compounds

The completion of the investment project is scheduled for June 2026, with full production capacity expected by December 2026. The entire output is intended for export—60% to the European Union market and 40% to third countries.

“This investment project is proof that Slovakia can be a safe and stable haven for entrepreneurs who had to leave their country and businesses due to war,” said Minister of Economy Denisa Saková (Hlas-SD). She added that the project represents modern manufacturing with high added value, export potential, and a strong focus on EU technological standards.
