Slovakia aims to strengthen relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, its key strategic partner in Africa, said Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár during his official visit to the country. He stressed the importance of supporting strong political ties, as both nations share common views on many international issues. It was the first bilateral visit by a Slovak foreign minister since 2007. During the visit, Blanár signed a joint declaration and memorandum of understanding with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, to foster regular dialogue and focus on meaningful, high-impact projects. Blanár emphasized Morocco’s association agreement with the EU as a valuable channel for cooperation and highlighted shared views on international law, such as the Kosovo issue. He sees potential for further collaboration in defense, tourism, green technologies, IT, and engineering industries.
