President Peter Pellegrini appointed Frantisek Mozner as the new Supreme Court chairman at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday.
Mozner replaces Jan Sikuta, whose term expired on Tuesday (20 May). In his presentation before the Judicial Council, he declared that it is crucial for him to ensure that the Supreme Court is stabilised in terms of its personnel. He sees a need to increase the number of assistants, pointing to their high turnover. According to him, non-financial benefits should be provided to court staff as well.
