Parliament Speaker Raši heads to China to boost economic ties

Parliament Speaker Richard Raši (Hlas-SD) will travel to China on Sunday, May 18, for an official visit, accompanied by Deputy Speaker Tibor Gašpar (Smer-SD).

Raši is set to meet with Zhao Leji, Chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, and attend the China-CEEC Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair in Ningbo. Slovakia will participate as the guest country with its own national pavilion.

The visit aims to deepen economic cooperation and improve reciprocal official visits. Raši will also discuss the implementation of a strategic partnership agreement signed last November. His itinerary includes meetings with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and a planned site visit for the future Slovak Cultural Institute in Beijing.

Before returning, Raši will speak at the China-CEEC Mayors’ Forum, with participation from officials from Košice and Nové Zámky.
