Pellegrini stressed that waiting for politicians to bring peace “from above” is futile, noting that political hostility has only intensified over the past year. He expressed gratitude to those choosing peace, saying such actions benefit families and future generations. The president emphasized that politics must be conducted with respect, focusing on service to people—not spreading hate—and called on citizens to actively demand a calmer, more peaceful society.
