Gas deliveries from the Russian Federation to Slovakia are still cut to the levels recorded in previous weeks, Economy Minister Pavol Pavlis stated on Wednesday.
A decrease in gas flow from Russia via Ukraine to Slovakia has been detected already in September, with the deliveries dropping almost by 50 percent year-on-year. Minister Pavlis reiterated that during his visit to Moscow a month ago Russian Minister for Energy Alexander Novak assured him he'll intervene at Russian Gazprom in favour of Slovakia. As Pavlis added “next week, I'm travelling to the Russian Federation to sign a contract on oil supplies for the next 15 years. I'll open up the issue of gas, of course, and will inquire about future developments.”
