Paramedics report 282 alcohol-related callouts during Easter Holidays

Paramedics responded to 282 calls related to excessive drinking during the Easter holidays this year, which is more than in previous years, the Emergency Medical Service Operation Centre (OSZZS) posted on a social network, specifying that the highest number of cases was reported in Prešov region (53) and the lowest number in Trenčín (20) region.

"People mostly called the 155 emergency line due to breathing problems, abdominal pain and hypertension during the Easter holidays," said the centre. It specified that they had 640 phone calls related to breathing problems, 418 calls due to hypertension and 441 concerning abdominal pain.
