Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) met with a delegation of U.S. congressional representatives on Saturday at the Slovak Government Office as part of their European tour, according to an official post on the Government Office’s Facebook page.
The three-member bipartisan delegation included representatives from both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate.
Also present at the meeting were Slovak Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák (Smer-SD), Deputy Foreign Minister Marek Eštok, and U.S. Ambassador to Slovakia Gautam Rana.
According to the U.S. Embassy, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, advancing shared interests, and reaffirming the longstanding partnership between the Indiana National Guard and Slovakia.
