New members of the STVR Board have been approved by Parliament. Eva Koprená for TV and Igor Gallo for radio broadcasting, Marcel Behra for economy, David Lindtner for legislature, and Martin Daňko for IT. Their 6-year mandate started as of Wednesday. They join the 5 members who were appointed directly by the Culture Minister Martina Šimkovičová on the basis of a selection procedure under the new law regarding STVR that came into power in July 2024.
Daily Denník N reported that David Lindtner, who is a new member of the STVR Board, works as a lawyer in the office of Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák. His clients include Smer politicians and extremist Daniel Bombic, whom Lindtner represents in lawsuits against the media.
