Foreign Minister to travel to the Netherlands

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) will travel to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on a working visit. The head of Slovak diplomacy will hold bilateral talks with his Dutch ministerial colleague Caspar Veldkamp in The Hague on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

The main topics of the meeting will be the strengthening of the Slovak-Dutch dialogue, the possibilities of expanding economic cooperation, and also current international issues with a focus on the situation in Ukraine, as well as the Middle East and transatlantic relations.

The ministers will discuss the further development of European security policy and partnership within the European Union and NATO. Minister Juraj Blanár will also visit important international institutions based in The Hague, where he will hold talks with representatives of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPWC) and Europol.

During his visit, he will meet with Slovaks working in various international institutions in the Netherlands and, on this occasion, will present the Medal of Honor for Services to Slovak Diplomacy to Judge Petr Tomek of the International Court of Justice at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in The Hague.
