Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár met with Bulgarian officials on Monday, March 24, to discuss strengthening cooperation in trade, tourism, and supporting Bulgaria's entry into the Eurozone and OECD. Blanár emphasized the excellent partnership between the countries within the EU and their mutual interest in enhancing cooperation on issues like Schengen border protection and EU defense capabilities.
During his visit, Blanár met with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and thanked Bulgarian officials for facilitating the transit of Russian gas through the TurkStream pipeline. Blanár also visited the Bulgarian Parliament and held talks with key parliamentary leaders, including Speaker Natalia Kiselova and the energy committee chair.
