There is less interest in Slovak products in Russia. This is due to the drop in the value of the Russian ruble. Given the 30 percent decrease in the currency no Slovak product can compete with the rest of the products on the Russian market claims a company from Poprad producing boilers, as well as the analyst Jiří Šimara for the HN daily.
In comparison with last year Slovak exports to Russia fell by 11 percent in the first three quarters of this year. Ladislav Bányai from the Slovak Economy Ministry claims that under the current circumstances the current drop in Slovak exports to Russia is natural.
