The Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava has achieved double representation in the latest prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2025. The university is ranked in the fields of computer science and information systems, as well as material sciences, STU announced.
Maximilian Strémy, Vice-Rector for Strategic Projects, Development, Innovation, and Practice, stated that STU is ranked 751-850 out of 850 universities included in the computer science and information systems (engineering and technology) category, and 401-550 out of 550 universities in the material sciences (natural sciences) category. A total of 2,149 institutions were analyzed in the first field and 1,380 in the second.
"The double representation in this renowned ranking is both gratifying and a responsibility, as it serves as a relevant tool for evaluating and comparing scientific fields at universities in an international context," said Strémy. He also expressed the ambition to achieve an even better result in next year's ranking.
