Illegal cross-border migration to Slovakia decreased by more than 94 percent last year. Secondary transit migration by 99.9 percent. This follows from the Report on the activities of the Chief Border Commissioner of the Slovak Republic for the year 2024. Currently, illegal migration on the Slovak-Ukrainian border dominates in the territory of the Slovak Republic. There has been an increase of more than 280 percent. Outside the border crossing points, this border is crossed almost exclusively by men of draft age.
