The Government office’s press department announced that Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) will leave for an extraordinary summit of the European Union in Brussels on Thursday.
The current situation in Ukraine will be high on the agenda of the summit. EU leaders will also deal with European defence, which should help the Union become more sovereign in this area and better equipped to address current and future security challenges.
